3. Website information

We aim to keep the information on our website accurate, relevant and up to date.

However, property prices, mortgage rates, rental conditions, tax rules, regulations and market circumstances may change.

Information published on our website, including articles, market updates, guides and educational materials, is provided for general information purposes.

It does not constitute individual legal, tax, financial or mortgage advice.

You should obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances before making significant financial or contractual decisions.

4. Consultations and enquiries

Visitors may contact TruDoor or book an introductory consultation through the website.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, an introductory consultation does not create a binding brokerage or advisory service agreement.

A formal service relationship begins when the parties enter into an applicable agreement or otherwise establish a contract in accordance with Dutch law.

We may request additional information before determining whether we can provide a particular service.

5. Service agreements and fees

TruDoor offers different service packages, which may include fixed fees, initial fees, success-based payments or separately agreed additional services.

All applicable fees, payment milestones, VAT treatment and other commercial conditions will be communicated through the relevant proposal or service agreement.

Any prices displayed on the website are subject to the conditions accompanying the relevant offer.

In the event of a difference between general website descriptions and the specific service agreement signed by a client, the signed agreement will govern that service relationship, subject to mandatory applicable law.

6. Client responsibilities

Clients are expected to provide accurate, complete and timely information necessary for TruDoor to perform the agreed services.

This may include information about housing preferences, financial circumstances, employment, identification and relevant legal or practical requirements.

Clients remain responsible for reviewing documents and making their own final decisions regarding applications, offers, purchases, leases and other legally binding commitments.

TruDoor may provide advice and coordination, but will not enter into binding agreements on a client’s behalf without the necessary authorisation.

7. Property availability and outcomes

The Dutch housing market is competitive, and property availability, prices and conditions can change without notice.

TruDoor cannot guarantee that a particular property will remain available, that a landlord or seller will accept an application or offer, or that a transaction will be completed.

Final decisions regarding property applications and offers may rest with landlords, sellers, financial institutions or other independent parties.

Any service-specific commitments are governed by the applicable service agreement.

8. Third-party professionals

TruDoor may introduce clients to independent professionals and service providers, including mortgage advisers, notaries, inspectors, contractors, relocation specialists and other relevant parties.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, these professionals provide their services independently and may have their own terms, fees and professional responsibilities.

TruDoor does not automatically become a party to agreements between clients and independent third-party providers.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Cancellations and termination

Cancellation and termination conditions for paid services are set out in the applicable service agreement.

Depending on the nature of the agreement and how it is concluded, consumers may have statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights, including rights relating to distance contracts.

Where applicable, TruDoor will provide the legally required information about those rights, the withdrawal period and any consequences of requesting services to begin during that period.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under Dutch or European law.

10. Events, webinars and educational activities

TruDoor may organise online webinars, workshops, networking events and other educational activities.

Registration may be required, and individual events may have additional conditions.

We may modify event details, reschedule or cancel an event when reasonably necessary. Registered participants will be informed where practicable.

Information shared during events is educational and does not replace advice tailored to an individual’s legal or financial circumstances.

Any paid event conditions, including applicable cancellation rights, will be communicated before purchase.

11. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, the content on this website, including text, graphics, branding, designs, photographs, videos and educational materials, belongs to TruDoor or is used with permission.

You may view website content for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, commercially exploit or modify protected content without the necessary permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

Our website may link to third-party websites, including property platforms, financial service providers, event platforms and other resources.

These links are provided for convenience.

TruDoor does not control external websites and is not responsible for their availability, content or independent terms.

13. Liability

TruDoor aims to provide professional, careful and reliable information and services.

However, general website information is not a substitute for individual professional advice, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or that every item of published information will remain current.

Liability relating to a specific paid service is governed by the applicable service agreement and mandatory law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for intentional misconduct or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Privacy and personal data

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights or available legal remedies.

16. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.

Disputes will be submitted to a court having jurisdiction under applicable Dutch law.

Any mandatory rules protecting consumers, including rules on competent courts and applicable law, remain unaffected.

17. Changes to these Terms

TruDoor may update these website Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in its services, website or applicable legislation.

The latest version will be available on our website.

Changes to an existing signed service agreement will be governed by that agreement and applicable law.
